Denver EFT is an affiliated community of ICEEFT a worldwide network of mental health professionals, united to promote the use and understanding of EFT. The EFT model prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions.

Denver EFT offers a wide variety of training for mental health professionals in Denver and all throughout Colorado State, including core trainings which lead to certification in EFT. Dr. Sue Johnson
Dr. Sue Johnson researched how relationships can be repaired, how the bonds of love work, and how people change in psychotherapy.
Dr. Sue Johnson was the founder and leading authority on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) , a type of therapy that helps individuals, couples and families improve their relationships by understanding and managing their emotions. She has written dozens of books on the topic, including the bestsellers “Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love”, “Attachment Theory in Practice” and “A Primer for Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy”. Dr. Johnson has received numerous awards and recognitions for her contributions to the field of psychology, including the Order of Canada, The Psychotherapy Networker Lifetime Achievement Award, and the American Psychological Association’s Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Applied Research.
